Acceptance of any contribution, gift or grant is at the discretion of the Rifle Explorers Association. The Rifle Explorers Association will not accept any gift if it cannot be used or spent consistently with the purpose and mission of the Rifle Explorers Association.
No irrevocable gift, whether in kind or with lifetime income, will be accepted if, under any reasonable circumstances, the gift would endanger the donor's financial security.
The Rifle Explorers Association will refrain from providing advice on the tax or other treatment of gifts and will encourage donors to seek guidance from their own professional advisors to assist them in the donation process.
The Rifle Explorers Association will accept donations in cash or publicly traded securities. Gifts of services in kind will be accepted at the discretion of the Rifle Explorers Association.
Certain other gifts, real estate, personal property, gifts in kind, illiquid securities and contributions whose sources are not transparent or whose use is restricted in some way must be reviewed before acceptance due to special obligations or liabilities on who can present them for the Association of Rifle Explorers.
The Association of Rifle Explorers will provide recognition to donors who meet the tax requirements for goods received by the organization as a gift. However, with the exception of gifts of cash and publicly traded securities, no value shall be assigned to any receipt or other form of proof of a gift received by the Rifle Explorers Association.
The Association of Rifle Explorers will respect the donor's intent regarding gifts for restricted purposes and those regarding the desire to remain anonymous. With respect to anonymous gifts, the Rifle Explorers Association will restrict information about the donor to only those staff members who have a need to know that information.
The Rifle Explorers Association will not compensate, whether through commissions, brokerage fees or other means, any third party for directing a gift or donor to the Rifle Explorers Association.
